The Renewable Wax Burger Wrap, available in an on trend “Gingham” design, has a heavy Renewable Wax application providing excellent grease resistance, making it ideal for wrapping foods such as juicy or saucy burgers, kebabs, hot dogs, hot rolls, or hot sandwiches. The Renewable Waxed Wrap range is certified Commercially Compostable to Australian Standard AS 4736 and European EN 13432, and Home Compostable to Australian Standard AS 5810. These wraps are also free of PFAS (per- and polyflouroalkyl substances) as well as being fossil fuel free.
The Burger Wrap can also be used as a paper liner in packaging, such as food trays, for heavy grease foods.
Providing good Bun, Wrap and Bread release, this Renewable Wax Burger Wrap has been tested to withstand medium to high grease resistance.*
Made from high quality food wrapping paper and wax, the Renewable Waxed Wraps are Commercially Compostable to Australian Standard AS 4736 and European EN 13432, and Home Compostable to Australian Standard AS 5810.
The Renewable Waxed food paper wrap is also available in a Sandwich Wrap, in a fresh “Leaf” design, featuring a lighter application of Renewable Wax providing a light moisture barrier and breathability. It is the perfect food paper wrap for cold sandwiches, baguettes and baked goods.

What is Renewable Wax? Renewable Wax is a new sustainable form of wax used on food wrapping paper. Made from natural and renewable sources like sunflower seeds, corn and canola, the Renewable Wax maintains the same functional properties as traditional Paraffin Wax when used on food paper wraps.
How are the new Renewable Waxed Wraps different to the Paraffin Waxed Wraps? The only difference is the Wax used to manufacture the Wraps. The performance of the Renewable Waxed Wraps meets the same fit-for-purpose requirements as the current Paraffin specifications.
What’s difference between Paraffin Wax & Renewable Wax? Paraffin Wax is a fossil fuel derived from petroleum waste product which goes through deodorization and chemical bleaching processes before being food safe. It’s commonly found in candles, wax paper, polishes, cosmetics, and electrical insulators. Renewable Wax is made from natural and renewable sources like sunflower seeds, corn and canola, while maintaining the same functional properties as Paraffin Wax when used in Food Service packaging.
What is PFAS? PFAS (per- and poly-fluoroalkyl substances) are a group of chemicals used in a range of applications. They can be found in numerous common household items that resist heat, grease and water, including some food packaging. They are considered “forever chemicals” as they stick around in organisms and the environment almost indefinitely. Certain PFAS have been associated with short and long term toxic effects in animals and people, with discussions ongoing about health impacts.
